💡 Did You Know?
The West Vancouver Legion is celebrating 100 years of community, service, and connection! Since opening our doors in
1926, our branch has grown, evolved, and modernized through every decade — always with the same mission at heart: supporting Veterans, RCMP members, and our local community.
• The Branch’s official Charter arrived on Nov 17, 1926
- with just 15 members, dues of twenty-five cents a month, and a one-dollar initiation fee.
• Early meetings were held upstairs in the Ferry Building until 1930,
before members eventually built their own Legion Hall on the current
site.
• In 1990, the Legion Hall was raised three feet and the lounge was completely renovated - made possible by a bequest from Norm Jorgeson and countless member volunteer hours.
• Our 100th Anniversary Fundraiser & Silent Auction is on Sep 12th! Mark your calendar! Event details coming soon.
A century later, we’re still growing — and still proudly serving West Vancouver.
Here’s to the next 100 years!
